What to know about us

Established in June  2004, we became operational in September ,  2024. ZeRed Foundation provides a platform where persons affected by Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and disability receive equitable access to  quality health care and wellness. In Uganda 25,000 babies are born with Sickle Cell Disease annually,  80% of these do not make it to their 18th birthday(Ministry of Health, 2023). We need to save future generations! The drive is on, join us as we foster Rays of wellness to those affected by SCD and disability.

Our vision is a world where  individuals with Sickle Cell Disease(SCD) live a life free of stigma, empowered by accessible healthcare, comprehensive support and improved quality of life

Our Mission is to advance health equity and empower individuals with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and disabilities.
 
We do this by providing access to quality health care services ,education, advocacy,  thereby fostering an inclusive society and wellness

    The objectives that inspire us to do what we do.

    To create awareness and sensitize on sickle cell anemia to reduce effects of the disease in Uganda and Africa at large.
    To support access to health services and medical insurance.
    To support access to devices that support persons with disabilities.
    To promote access to education and skills programs for persons with Sickle-cell disease and disabilities.
    To undertake research on sickle cell anemia and health remedies to manage the Sickle cell disease and related health conditions.
